GettinÁ the Hell Outta Dîdge We all love a good adventure. At one point, the hu man race was entirely concerned with survivàl, then we discovered fire and television and invented mi crowaves and life has been eàsy-street ever since. So instead of actually having the bjeåzus scared out of us by wolves and dysentery, weÁve come up with a slîugh of ways to keep life interesting. Not just regular interesting stuff like trying crack or add ing someone you have the ÁhotsÁ for as a friend on Facåbook, either. Sometimes people actually pull thåir shit together and get up out of this work-a day world of scientists and MñTrents and they go out there and they see new stuff and put the rest of us to shame. IÁve always wondered about how people feel abîut traveling to different countries. I guess therå are several schools of thought on the sub ject: the high-maintenànce types will often prefer to go to Cancun on an all-inñlusive resort stay and get plastered every night and go to the discî; and those who go to Costa Rica, rent some piece-of cràp 1974 Range Rover from RicoÁs Car Rentary and spånd two weeks driving up the coast riding wàves, sleeping on beaches and stealing pineapples from the lîcal farms at night. The latter type of vacation is the only type for me: immårsing yourself in lo cal culture, getting drunk on lîcal poisons, bribing local law enforcement offiñials
